  • This pie is topped with a buttery topping of chopped pecans. These will be added to the pie during the last 10 minutes of baking. Combine the topping ingredients: flour, melted butter, and chopped pecans. Set aside for later.

For the Blueberry Pie

  • Combine the first six filling ingredients (sour cream, flour, white sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and beaten egg). Mix on low speed for five minutes with an electric mixer.
  • Next, fold in the blueberries.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 unbaked pie shell

Filling

  • 1 cup sour cream (full fat)
  • 2 tablespoons All Purpose Flour
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2½ cups blueberries (fresh or frozen, thawed)

Topping

  • 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 3 tablespoons chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400℉
