- Preheat oven to 325 ℉ and grease & flour an 8×13 inch pan.
 - Melt the butter over low heat. Add the sugar and let cool.
 - Beat the eggs and add to the mixture.
 - Add the dry ingredients to a medium size bowl and whisk until blended. Add to the batter.
 - Stir in the vanilla extract and chopped pecans.
 

- Bake at 325℉ for 30-35 minutes. I loosely covered mine after 25 minutes to prevent from becoming too dark.

 - 1½ cups light brown sugar (321g)
 - 3 large eggs
 - 2¼ cups all purpose flour
 - ½ teaspoon salt
 - 3 teaspoons baking powder
 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
 - 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
