Cheesy Pasta Bake

This hearty Cheesy Pasta Bake is so flavorful with ground beef, marinara sauce, and richness from cream cheese, sour cream, and a sprinkling of parmesan

Ingredients
  

  • 1 small onion, diced
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (or butter)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (24 oz) jar spaghetti or marinara sauce
  • 10 oz egg noodles, cooked
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • cup parmesan cheese, grated (to sprinkle on top)

Instructions
 

  • Add water and oil to a large skillet or stock pot. Saute the chopped onion.
  • Add the ground beef and cook until brown. Pour off any grease.
  • Add spaghetti sauce and simmer on low heat.
  • In a saucepan, mix together the softened cream cheese and sour cream and heat on low heat, mixing until blended.
  • Grease and 8x12 baking dish or large round casserole dish. Add the cooked and drained egg noodles. Add spoonfuls of the sour cream and cream cheese mixture over the noodles, spreading to cover.
  • Then, cover the noodles with the meat sauce. Sprinkle parmesan cheese over the top.
  • Bake at 325 degrees F for 30 minutes. Cover loosely with aluminum foil if it becomes too brown before the time is up.
