3cupscooked chicken, cut into bite sized pieces or shredded(You can use a store bought rotisserie chicken if you'd like to save time)
1cancream of chicken soup(10oz) (common variations have cream of mushroom or cream of celery)
1cupchicken broth
½teaspoongarlic powder (optional)
1stick butter, melted
2teaspoonsbaking soda
½teaspoonpepper
1cupall purpose flour
1cup milk (You can also use buttermilk)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Place the chicken in a greased baking dish. Lightly season with salt and pepper if not seasoned already.
Combine the chicken broth, chicken soup, pepper and garlic powder in a saucepan, stirring over medium heat just until it begins to simmer. Then, pour over the chicken in the baking dish.
In another bowl, combine the melted butter, flour, and baking powder. Add milk and stir just until well combined. Spoon over the chicken and gently spread over the top.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 30-35 minutes. Allow to cool for 15 minutes to set up before serving.
Notes
Reheat leftovers in the microwave, or heat at 350 degrees F until heated through.
