Homemade Brownies (Cake Like)

These moist, cake like homemade brownies are soft with a light chocolate flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • sticks unsalted butter, melted (168g) (If using salted butter, you can omit the salt in the recipe).
  • cups sugar (300g)
  • teaspoon vanilla extract (6g)
  • 3 large eggs
  • ¾ all purpose flour (120g)
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder (20g)
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder (3g)
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. grease an 8" square pan.
  • Melt butter, add sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and mix well.
  • In a medium size bowl, combine the flour, cream, baking powder, and salt. Mix until well blended.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean or with just a few crumbs attached. Cool in the pan at least 30 minutes before cutting. Makes 16 (2x2") brownies.
